# Voting

Adrena is set up to be run by its community of token holders.\
\
Holders of ADX token will be able to stake their tokens on the smart contract directly, through the front end application.\
There will be several options:

* liquid stake will provide a 1:1 voting power per ADX on the Realm Governance
* locked stake (90/180/360/540 days) will provide boosted voting power (1.75, 2.5, 3.25, 4.0) on the Realm Governance

In order to decouple voting power and amount of ADX tokens held (multipliers) we had to come up with a custom system described in [Governance Shadow Token](/adrena/technical-documentation/governance-shadow-token.md).
